Project: Provide Public Relations Services to the National Events Center
In line with the Saudi Vision 2030, the National Event Center (NEC), headquartered in Riyadh, was established to develop and unlock the full potential of the Saudi events sector, including all its entertainment, sports, tourism and cultural subsectors. The center also aims to encourage the development of a regulatory environment conducive to sector’s growth and enrichment in coordination with executive authorities, in addition to improving the services provided to the events sector. In that spirit, Alef Publishing and Media provided PR and media relations management services to the NEC with an aim to enhance NEC’s media presence and highlight its role among local and international audiences. To communicate a positive image, Alef publicized NEC’s activities, programs and projects by providing appropriate communication channels and media management services to all internal and external events and activities.
In 2021, Alef provided media consulting services to bolster NEC’s public relations. We offered comprehensive solutions through a specialized team having diversified skills and expertise.
Task
- Enhance NEC’s PR activities and corporate image across local and international media.
- Develop a strategic corporate communication plan for NEC.
- Create and develop key media messages for NEC events.
- Create and develop a comprehensive media plan and potential crisis management plan and execute them in Arabic and English.
- Provide media training for NEC’s candidates.
- Provide daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, biannual and annual media monitoring reports.
- Coordinate NEC officials’ media appearance commensurate with their official positions and his/her guests; and prepare the interviewer and guest.
- Develop all internally and externally targeted editorial and press materials.
Project Management
- We appointed a Project Manager, a Public Relations Manager, a Public Relations Coordinator, an Arabic Editor and a Translator.
- Managed and executed the project with a team specialized in content development and media relations, ensuring the delivery of professional PR management and provision of exceptional media coverage for NEC’s news and activities.
- Prepared and designed local and international media invitations.
- Developed and launched NEC media plans and campaigns.
- Provided a daily media monitoring report.
- Drafted and distributed press releases and developed a public relations report in Arabic and English.
Results and Achievements
- Built a positive image for the National Events Center by ensuring its presence across all media platforms and by highlighting NEC’s tasks, activities and achievements.
- Highlighted NEC’s achievements and its employees’ accomplishments in events held across Saudi Arabia and underlined the value NEC adds to the community.
- Built bridges for collaboration and communication between NEC and media.
- Developed and deepened relations and communication with writers, opinion leaders and journalists who can influence the public opinion and are interested in the events industry.
- Reinforced NEC’s corporate identity.
